Health, Safety and Environment Policy Statement

Safety is paramount in all our operations. As an indigenous Nigerian company delivering engineering, construction, marine operations, and HSSE consultancy across the Niger Delta and beyond, OMEMA EL-SHADDAI ENERGY NIGERIA LIMITED recognizes that protecting the people who carry out our work — and the environment we work in — is not separate from how we do business. It is how we do business.

We are committed to providing safe and healthy working conditions that prevent work-related injury and ill health, while safeguarding the environment through responsible operating practices, effective pollution prevention, and the sustainable management of natural resources. This commitment applies across every project we undertake, from onshore construction to offshore installation and marine support operations.

In line with this commitment, we affirm the following:

  • We identify, assess, and control health, safety, and environmental risks before they become incidents — not after.
  • Every operation is guided by clear emergency response planning, so our teams know what to do when conditions change.
  • Our workforce has a voice in HSE decisions that affect them. Safety isn’t handed down; it’s built together.
  • Our HSE practices are aligned with ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), alongside compliance with Nigerian regulatory requirements including DPR and NESDEC standards.
  • We invest in ongoing safety training and competency development at every level of the organization, so our capability grows with our workload — not behind it.
  • This policy is reviewed regularly to reflect changes in our operations, our regulatory environment, and the risks our teams face in the field.
  • We hold ourselves, our partners, and our contractors to this same standard on every project.

Mr. Augustine Ezekiel Okaula

Operations Manager

OMEMA EL-SHADDAI ENERGY NIGERIA LIMITED

Quality, for us, isn’t a separate department — it’s the standard every engineering drawing, weld, installation, and safety report is measured against before it leaves our hands. As a company built on Nigerian content with a reputation to prove, we don’t get a second chance to earn a client’s trust. We treat every project accordingly.

We are committed to:

  • Delivering engineering, construction, and marine services that meet the specifications, schedules, and standards our clients require — the first time, not after rework.
  • Applying consistent quality control checks at every project stage, from design review through construction, installation, and commissioning.
  • Selecting and maintaining equipment and materials through our procurement function, so quality isn’t compromised by what’s cheapest or fastest to source.
  • Learning from every project — feeding lessons from audits, inspections, and client feedback back into how we plan and execute the next one.
  • Holding our subcontractors and suppliers to the same quality standards we hold ourselves.

Quality and safety aren’t separate goals for us — a project done right is, by definition, a project done safely.
